Our Governors

The Governing Body plays a vital role in the leadership and success of The Gem Federation.

Our governors work in partnership with the Executive Headteacher, Heads of School, and staff to ensure that each school provides the highest standard of education and care for every pupil. They help to shape the vision and direction of the federation, holding school leaders to account for educational performance, financial management, and the wellbeing of pupils and staff.

Please note:

• The Executive Headteacher has a place on the Governing Body on an ex officio basis i.e. because she is Executive Headteacher.
• The staff governor was elected by staff in the school.
• Parent governors were elected by the parents of children in the school.
• The LA governor was nominated by the Local Authority and appointed by the Governing Body.
• Co-opted governors were appointed by the Governing Body.
• The term of office for all governors (except the Headteacher) is four years.
